Democratic school in Switzerland : imPuls Privatschule new details Contact: Daniel Hunziker Email: admin@impuls.ch Telephone: +41 44 784 13 01 Website: www.impuls.ch Languages: German Ages: 5 -17 Number of Students: 30 Principles: We are a small private school in Switzerland hosting 30 kids between 5 and 17 years old. The school was founded in 2001 with the intention of offering a learner-centred alternative to the Swiss state education. Nowadays we are running our school according to democratic principles, e.g. weekly school assembly (shared decision-making), learner-centred approach in which students choose their daily activities, a community as an extension of the classroom in which everyone is free to spend their time as they wish as long as no one else is restricted in their freedom, no mutual curriculum for the learners, etc. |
