L’IDEC : qu’est-ce que c’est?
IDEC signifie International Democratic Education Conference, c’est-à-dire, Congrès International sur l’Education Démocratique.
Ce n’est pas le nom d’une organisation ou d’un groupe.
Chaque année, depuis 1993, un congrès est organisé par une école , un collège ou une organisation du même ordre qui s’est proposée lors du congrès précédent.
Le premier a duré 2 jours et celui de 1997, près de 15.
Au cours de ces dernières années, il y a eu chaque fois environ 300 participants venus du monde entier.Les jeunes, aussi bien ceux qui accueillaient que ceux qui venaient, ont presque toujours joué un rôle essentiel : les congrès de Sands School en Angleterre en 1997, de Tokyo en 2000 et de Berlin en 2005 ont été presqu’entièrement organisés par les jeunes.
Les avis divergent à propos des buts des IDEC.
Pour les uns, c’est une occasion de discuter de problèmes communs dans une ambiance amicale où l’on sait que tout le monde partage les mêmes valeurs. D’autres espèrent amener plus de gens aux thèses de l’éducation démocratique en les invitant à ces congrès : ils pensent qu’ainsi en résultera une publicité positive.
Les objectifs de chaque congrès sont décidés par ceux qui l’organisent.
Des IDEC ont eu lieu en Israël, au Royaume-Uni, en Ukraine, au Japon, en Nouvelle-Zélande, aux Etats-Unis, en Inde, en Allemagne, Australie et au Brésil. En 2008 l'IDEC se tiendra au Canada.
Was bedeutet IDEC?
IDEC steht für Internationale Konferenz für Demokratische Bildung, es bezeichnet aber keine Organisation oder Gruppe. Die Konferenz wird seit 1993 jedes Jahr von einer anderen Schule oder ähnlichen Gruppe ausgerichtet, die sich an einer früheren Konferenz dazu bereit erklärt hat. Die Dauer der Konferenzen schwankte bisher zwischen zwei Tagen bei der ersten Konferenz und 14 Tagen im Jahr 1997. In den letzten Jahren haben jedesmal ungefähr dreihundert Leute aus der ganzen Welt teilgenommen. Junge Leute im Schulalter haben fast immer eine große Rolle gespielt; die Konferenzen 1997 in der Sands School in England, 2000 in Tokio und 2005 in Berlin wurden fast vollständig von jungen Leuten organisiert.
Über den Zweck der IDEC-Konferenzen gibt es unterschiedliche Ansichten. Einige sehen sie als Gelegenheit, gemeinsame Probleme in einer Atmosphäre zu diskutieren, in der die anderen die eigenen Werte teilen. Andere hoffen, die Idee der Demokratischen Bildung weiter zu verbreiten, indem sie Leute einladen, die sie vielleicht überzeugen können, und dadurch, daß sie öffentliche Aufmerksamkeit erlangen. Das Ziel jeder einzelnen Konferenz wird von der Gruppe festgelegt, die sie organisiert.
IDECs haben schon in Israel, Großbritannien, Österreich, der Ukraine, Japan, Neuseeland, den Vereinigten Staaten, Indien, Deutschland, Australien und Brasilien stattgefunden, und die IDEC 2008 wird in Kanada ausgerichtet."
What is an IDEC?
IDEC stands for International Democratic Education Conference. It is not the name of an organisation or a group. Every year since 1993 a school has volunteered to run the conference for the next year. The length of the conferences has varied between two days for the first one to a fortnight in 1997. Recently most have attracted around three hundred participants from all over the world. Students from both the host school and visiting schools have nearly always played a large part; the conference in 1997 at Sands School in the UK and the Tokyo conference in 2000 were in fact run almost entirely by students.
There are differing views as to the purpose of the IDECs. Some see them as an opportunity to discuss shared problems in a supportive atmosphere. Others hope to spread the idea of democratic education by inviting possible converts and attracting favourable publicity. The purpose of any given conference is decided by the school that is organising it.
IDECs have been held in Israel, the UK, Austria, Ukraine, Japan, New Zealand, the USA, India, Germany, Australia and Brazil, and the 2008 IDEC is to be held in Canada.
¿ Qué es una IDEC?
IDEC no es el nombre de una organización o grupo significa Conferencia Internacional sobre Educación Democrática.
Desde 1993 algunas escuelas se ofrecen para organizar el evento. La duración de las conferencias es variable. El primer año fue de dos dias y en 1997 de una quincena.
Atrae alrededor de unos trescientos participantes de todo el mundo. Los estudiantes de la escuela anfitriona como los de las escuelas visitantes siempre juegan un gran papel; La conferencia en la Escuela Beach en Reino Unido ( IDEC 1997) y la de Tokio ( IDEC 2000) de hecho fueron controladas casi en su totalidad por estudiantes.
Existen diferentes puntos de vista en cuanto al objetivo de las IDECs. Unos las ven como una oportunidad para compartir problemas en una atmósfera de apoyo. Otros esperan extender la educación democrática invitando en lo posible, a través de una publicidad favorable. El objetivo de cualquier conferencia lo decide la escuela que la organiza.
Se han organiazado IDECs en Israel, Reino Unido, Austria, Ucrania, Japón, Nueva Zelanda, EE.UU, India, Alemania, Australia y Brasil. IDEC 2008 tiendrá lugar en Canada.
Che cos’è l’IDEC?
IDEC sta per conferenza internazionale sull’educazione democratica. Non si tratta di un’organizzazione o di un gruppo. Ogni anno dal 1993 una scuola si offre spontaneamente di gestire la conferenza per l’anno successivo.
Diversa è stata la durata delle conferenze: due giorni la prima volta nel 1993, di quindici nel 1997.
Recentemente hanno partecipato a tali incontri circa trecento persone provenienti da tutte le parti del mondo..
Gli studenti, sia delle scuole organizzatrici sia di quelle dei partecipanti, hanno quasi sempre rivestito un ruolo importante; le conferenze alla Sands School in Inghilterra nel 1997 e a Tokyo nel 2000 sono state infatti quasi interamente condotte dai giovani.
Ci sono diversi punti di vista sulla funzione delle conferenze IDEC. Alcuni le vedono come un’opportunità per discutere problemi condivisi in un’atmosfera collaborativa. Altri sperano di diffondere l’idea dell’educazione democratica invitando persone interessate al problema e attirando pubblicità a proprio favore. L’indirizzo di ciascuna conferenza è deciso da chi la organizza.
Conferenze IDEC sono state organizzate in vari paesi: Israele, Regno Unito, Austria, Ucraina, Giappone, Nuova Zelanda, Stati Uniti, India, Germania, Australia e Brasile. Nel 2008 IDEC si terrà au Canada.
