Our resources are based upon the wealth of human experience, and take the form of contact lists for democratic education practitioners, organisations and schools, details of books, DVDs and newsletters.

We have a list of almost 30 books about democratic education that we can recommend, most are in English but some are in other languages.

IDEC newsletters:

IDEC stands for International Democratic Education Conference. Every year since 1993 a school or other organisation has run a conference. Recently most have attracted around three hundred participants from all over the world.

There are differing views as to the purpose of the IDECs. Some see them as an opportunity to discuss shared problems in a supportive atmosphere. Others hope to spread the idea of democratic education by inviting possible converts and attracting favourable publicity.

We have available a condensed version of the most recent IDEC newsletters in French, German, English, and Spanish.
